ICYMI: Spring Training Is Over!
Spring training is officially coming to a close this week. As many corps perform their preview shows for local fans and family members, they are also offering a first glimpse at their uniforms and show concepts for the 2017 season. Don't forget, you can watch the Cavaliers and Blue Stars in the 2017 DCI Spring Training Finale on Tuesday, June 20, for FREE on FloMarching!

Although we won't be streaming, make sure to get out to a local movie theater for the 2017 DCI Tour Premiere on Thursday, June 22, to get as close to a live drum corps experience as possible, surrounded by loud speakers and even louder fans.

Carolina Crown...

Finally released their 2017 production, "It is..." as well as their color guard uniforms. You can read the full synopsis here. The corps live-streamed their warmup for the preview show that took place this weekend and gave viewers a look into the marching musicians' uniforms. The corps will be sporting a similar shako to the last few years, with a signature collar around the top of the headband, but this year the shako is entirely clear.

Blue Stars...

Shared their "Star Crossed" color guard uniforms this weekend. For a segment of their show, female members of the guard will be wearing short, flapper-style, colorful dresses with the men donning formal wear reminiscent of "The Great Gatsby." The color guard will also be wearing themed uniforms for its "Moulin Rouge" movements and even another uniform for the "Romeo & Juliet" section of its show. Check out the Blue Stars' Facebook page to see the different looks!

The Cavaliers...

Announced their uniforms for their color guard and marching musicians, revealing a very quintessential "Cavaliers" style while also being a modern rendition of the corps' values. The guard uniforms flaunt a distinct masculinity and tribal tone that's appropriate for their 2017 show, "Men Are From Mars." In the video below, executive director Chris Lugo and visual designer Tommy Allen discuss the Cavaliers' wardrobe changes.
