Before you dive into the numbers, please read through each of the points below the rankings that describes how each column applies to the ranking period. *Placement Changes for the first Ranking Period are notating the difference from placement in the 2016 DCI Finals.

Ranking Period:

The dates included in each week's rankings that lines the parameters for all data points considered within the weekly rankings, spanning from Thursday to the following Wednesday.

Placement:

Overall placement is solely based on the "Newest Score" column, listed from the highest "Newest Score" to lowest.

Corps:

Obviously.

Oldest Score:

This is the earliest score during each "Ranking Period." For example, considering the first ranking period ranges from June 22-28: If a corps doesn't have a show on June 22 but does on June 24, its "Oldest Score" will be from the latter date.

Newest Score:

This is the last score a corps receives before the "Ranking Period" ends. If a corps reaches a score during the week but then receives a lower score by the end of the "Ranking Period," the lower, more recent score will still be the "Newest Score."

# of Shows:

This is the number of judged performances a corps has completed during each "Ranking Period."

Total Increase:

This number notates the difference between "Oldest Score" and "Newest Score." Remember this may not always include the highest score a corps has received in any given "Ranking Period." This is because it will provide a better representation of the "bigger picture" of the corps' movement in score on a weekly basis.

Change/Show:

The averaged difference in score between each judged performance. Simply put: "Total Increase" divided by "# of Shows."

Placement Change:

A positive or negative number detailing the number of placements the corps has moved since the previous "Ranking Period."
