WGI eSolo: Compete for $250 in scholarship money and get featured on FloMarching!
— WGI Sport of the Arts (@WGItweets) June 4, 2020
Submit your solo in four simple steps (instructions below!), and you're set. Learn more at https://t.co/KF4yb7Vq0D. #wgiesolo #iamwgi https://t.co/p6cYyf2Jeq
The competition includes five different WGI eSolo Regional powered by System Blue events throughout June and July, with the first region—Southwest—coming up fast! Each Regional week will consist of a 3-step process that mirrors the typical WGI event: performance submissions, judging, and awards.
All participants will receive recorded commentary from a WGI judge and an overall rating. Top performers win scholarship money that may be used towards secondary education or participation fees for performing groups. Winners of each regional will advance to the WGI eSolo Virtual Finals on August 1st.
If you're in an Independent WGI or DCI organization: this is a great opportunity to represent your group in front of the eyes of the less-experienced, greater marching community—a portion of the community that looks up to you as role models and follows your actions to lead them into success in performance in the future.
The following solo categories will be available:
- Color Guard: Flag, Rifle, Sabre, Movement, and Mixed Equipment
- Percussion: Snare Drum, Multi-Tenor Drum, Keyboard, Timpani, and Multi-Percussion*
- Winds – Woodwind: Flute/Piccolo, Oboe, Bassoon, Clarinet/Bass Clarinet, and Saxophone
- Winds – Brass: Trumpet, French Horn/Mellophone, Baritone/Euphonium, Trombone, and Tuba
*any number of percussion instruments played by a solo performer, including a drum set

Step 1. Register at WGI.org for your respective regional competition.
Step 2. Record your performance and submit the video on FloMarching based on the deadlines outlined below.
