Competitions across the Northeast and South ushered in the end of the USBands season, with the competing groups going out on a high note with season-high scores and outstanding displays of pageantry. So, let's dive into the results:
2 In A Row for Dartmouth High School at Open Class National Championships
With many of the competing groups calling the Open Class National Championships their last performance of the season, the race to the top of the leaderboard was fierce.
In the Open 5 classification, Dartmouth High School claimed their second gold medal in as many seasons with their 2022 program titled 'Forgotten.' The Massachusetts-based group also swept all captions, earning recognition for best all-around music, visual, and color guard performance with a score of 97.700.
Downingtown High School claimed the silver medal with a score of 96.350, while North Penn High School took home the bronze medal. It's worth noting that this was North Penn's first year in the Open 5 classification, after being bumped up from Open 4 in the 2021 season (where they topped the group at last year's Open Class Championship).
Smithfield-Selma represented North Carolina well, earning 4th place with a score of 92.750, and finally, South Brunswick High School rounded out the group with a 5th place finish, earning a score of 92.150.
In the Open 4 Class, Edison High School brought home gold with a decisive 2-point victory over second-place Loudoun County High School. The two programs earned scores of 96.500 and 94.300, respectively. Central New York-based group Cicero-North Syracuse earned the bronze medal with a score of 94.000 rounding out the medalist ensembles.
It was an extremely close race at the top in the Open 3 classification, with Council Rock High School squeaking out a victory and earning gold with a score of 93.750. It was a photo finish for second, with King Philips ultimately earning the silver medal with a score of 93.250, while Blackstone-Millville High School claimed bronze with a score of 93.150.
In Open 2, Allentown High School (NJ) topped the class with a score of 93.250, while Delran High School brought home the silver with a score of 92.750, and Newtown High School in third with a score of 91.250.
Last but not least, in the Open 1 group, Lenape Regional High School seized the day and earned first place in the class with a score of 90.350. Wayne Valley High School earned second place with a score of 88.100, while Glen Ridge High School rounded out the medalist groups with a score of 86.800.

Photo Finishes and High Scores All-Around the A Class Championships
In the 5A classification, New Providence High School (95.000) had a decisive victory in the class, earning a score of over three points higher than second-place Port Chester High School (91.600). Ramsey High School brought home the bronze with a score of 88.800, while Fort Lee High School rounded out the class with a score of 86.600.
In Grou 4A, Pequannock Township High School was victorious, topping the class with a score of 95.500. In second place was West Milford High School with a score of 94.800, and Monroe Township rounded out the medalist in the class with a score of 90.200.
Nutley High School topped the 3A class with a score of 93.600, just beating out Lindenhurst High School who ended up in second place with a 93.100. Lyman Hall High School earned third place with a score of 92.500.

Klein Cain Claims Gold & A Close Race for Second at the USBands Houston Finale
No stranger to victory, Klein Cain High School brought home the gold medal at this weekend's Houston Finale, earning a score of 96.800 and topping the class with an over two-point margin. In second place was Jordan High School with a score of 94.500, just barely edging out Katy High School who landed in third with a score of 94.200. William J. Brennan High School was not far behind and earned fourth place with a score of 93.300.
