Webb City High School Winds (MO) present their 2024 program: Please Hold. "Please Hold" explores telephone tag and the range of emotions associated with waiting on the phone. In moments, we find solace in the easy grooves, sweet soloists, and understated melodies. With time, that same music becomes grading, a mockery of our situation. As the show evolves, we learn to accept the slow pace of change, love, and paying our taxes in gift cards. Musical selections include "The Girl from Ipanema" by Antonio Carlos Jobim, "Spain" by Chick Corea, "Leave the Door Open" by Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak, and "Telephone" by Lady Gaga. Webb City High School Indoor Winds, in its second year of existence, competes in the Mid-Continent Color Guard Association. Indoor Winds is one part of a varied marching arts and instrumental music program that includes two winter guards, a state finalist marching band, and several concert and jazz ensembles.
